A few weeks ago, May D's publicists released a statement claiming the pop artiste (real name Akinmayokun Awodumila) had acquired and moved into his 'new 6-bedroom duplex' located in the Magodo area of Lagos. Many questioned the authenticity of the information.
NET investigations reveal that the even though the Pop singer has indeed moved into his first apartment, he has NOT acquired the property. May D recently rented the apartment, his neighbours tell us.
The beige and cream-coloured house located at 4b Adeleke Adekan Close, off Idowu Adewakun Street is part of a twin duplex constructed together – we are told the owners of the property rented it out recently to May D after the former occupants moved out. The first part of the twin duplex has also be rented out to a family.
'No be him buy the place o, them rent am. The guy dey try sha but as I seem am, him money no carry am', a neighbourhood watchman tells NET.
A neighbour who'd rather remain anonymous also confirmed the place was not sold to May D. 'If it was sold, they sell the twin duplex not just one side'.
We are told May D's manger Raji Shehu along with a few other crew members are the Pop singer's current housemates. The house is looked after by a young man called 'John' who serves as the house help and gate man.
As reported earlier, May D's baby mama Adebola Olowoporoku and son do not stay in the same house with him. NET investigations reveal that Adebola resides in Magodo estate, at 3, Olu-Okewunmi Street.

Beverly Osu and Best Friend Charity, Fight Dirty Over A Man
The things I hear in this my gossip work. I'm going to tell you guys a bit of this story because the whole thing is too messy. So Beverly Osu and her best friend Charity Owoh are no longer friends. In fact I hear they are currently sworn enemies...and it all has to do with one gorgeous man, Big Brother Africa contestant Bimp Habesh from Ethiopia. Beverly and Charity fell out after Charity began to pursue Bimp who has been staying more in Nigeria since the reality show ended a few more months ago. Charity went as far as introducing Bimp to her mum and let everyone know she was interested in him. Then came Beverly, who also started showing interest in Bimp. Remember she confessed her feelings to Bimp in the Big Brother house but Bimp told her he had a girlfriend and Bev subsequently turned to Angelo.
Anyhoo, the two friends first fell out after Charity allegedly told Angelo (when he was in Nigeria) that Beverly still had a thing for Bimp, and after Angelo left, things became really heated between the former BFFs. Beverly felt betrayed that her best friend not only ratted her out but also went after Bimp knowing how she felt about him. I hear that one of them even went as far as opening a twitter account to attack the other, and the other one got so depressed about the situation (because all their friends supported the other) that she 'contemplated' suicide.
Bimp is currently not dating any of the girls. He might not even know that they are fighting over him.

Movie Marketers Threaten To Blacklist Mercy Johnson (Read)
There is an underground plans by the movie marketers under the aegis of Film and Video Producers and Marketers Association of Nigeria, FVPMAN, to blacklist Mercy Johnson Okojie,, in what they call, " Withdrawing of service from her."
A highly placed source who disclosed this latest move against the Actress to HVP, said, the association decided to take this action, following the 'unbecoming attitude of the actress as it affects her work."
According to our source, members of the association met last Monday, in Onitsha, Anambra State, to fine-tune plans to blacklist the actress who recently returned to Nollywood after months of being away in the United States, where she gave birth to her first child.
Shedding more light on the reason for blacklisting the Actress, our source disclosed that the marketers accused Mercy Johnson of forming the habit of disappearing while on location after she has been paid for the job. She was also accused of given them difficult conditions.
However, the source further hinted that the marketers have vowed to sanction any member who disregard the decision to blacklist the actress. He also revealed that the leadership of the association has advised its members to release all the films that Mercy Johnson featured in, on or before January, 2014.
Meanwhile, efforts to contact Mercy to react to the allegations proved abortive as her cell-phone was permanently switched-off. Recall, however, that upon her return to Nollywood,Mercy was bombarded with several scripts from different marketers and producers who wanted to get her on their movies.

INCREDIBLE!! 16-Year-Old Nigerian Girl Named Among “The World’s 50 Smartest Teenagers” list.
A Nigerian girl, whose name has been buzzing in the headlines lately as a promising talent, has reserved a place among "The World's 50 Smartest Teenagers" list.
"If you are passionate about what you do, and I am passionate about many things, especially math and science, it will work out well," Saheela Ibraheem, who lived in Edison, New Jersey, was quoted as saying in The Best Schools website, which announced her title.
The young girl, only 16, made it to headlines earlier this year when she was accepted into Harvard University, making her one of the youngest students ever to attend that school.
Making a record in the US, Saheela was accepted at 13 other colleges, including prestigious MIT, theUniversity of Pennsylvania, Cornell, Brown, Princeton, Columbia, and the University of Chicago.
In the end, Saheela chose Harvard, based on her seven-year-old brother's advice who also dreams of being admitted to Harvard.
Saheela believes the key to success is knowing what you love to learn as early as possible, a knowledge she says she achieved at age five.
Known as polite and humble, the Muslim prodigy said that her Nigerian parents, totally supportive of the young scholar, sometimes taught her subjects the schools didn't offer.
The teen is also interested in languages, and knows Yoruba, Arabic, Spanish, and Latin, in addition to English.
Offering a role model to her colleagues, Saheela, who dons the Islamic veil, or hijab, plays softball, soccer, and the trombone.
She also sings in the school choir and serves as president of the school's investment club.
The promising girl plans to major in either neurobiology or neuroscience, and hopes to become a scientist in order to study how the brain works.
Despite her activities, she said her number one priority was her family.
"I try my best in everything I do," Saheela said, confirming that there is nothing special about her brain.
"Anyone who's motivated can work wonders."

TOO BAD!! 53 Nigerians Arrested in India Over Wild Protest!
Fifty three Nigerians were detained today after a mob of about 200 of them blocked a National Highway over the death of a fellow national, prompting the Goa government to announce a major crack-down on foreign nationals living in the state without proper documents.
The mob blocked the Mapusa-Panaji Highway running through Porvorim village this afternoon after allegedly ransacking the police hearse van that was carrying the body of a Nigerian, who was found dead with multiple stab wounds at Parra village in Mapusa near here late last night, police said.
Following the incident, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar told reporters that he had asked the police department to comb the entire state and locate Nigerians and other foreign nationals staying without visa and other documentation.
Parrikar said that the murder was fall-out of a gang rivalry in the drug trade.
"We will also crack down on those involved in the drug trade extensively now. The action would be initiated in the next seven days and will continue in future," Parrikar said.
He also said that the establishments including clubs, pubs and restaurants which entertain foreign nationals without proper documents would face criminal cases.
Admitting that there was a failu
re of police informer network resulting in lower detection of drug cases, the Chief Minister said, "Virtually for five years, when Congress government was in power, the network had gone defunct."
Of the 53 Nigerians who were detained today, those involved in the ruckus would be arrested and the documents of others would be verified, Parrikar said.
Parrikar conceded that a few locals brutally beat up two Nigerians protesting on the road, who were admitted to the district hospital in Mapusa. "Locals who assaulted the Nigerians would also be booked," he said.
