UNEDITED: THE SHOCKING RAPE STORY OF ETHEL JOAN NWADIKE IN BENIN, NIGERIA

''On October 9,2013 A friend of mine MOSES IDAHOSA reached me and invited me to come to Benin city for an event, i have known him since 2011 so I thought nothing of it,like no harm can be done after all we go way back and stuff,so I booked my ticket from Lagos and I flew to Benin on the 13th October a Sunday for the event.

After the event we went to chill at a place called Alice hotel in GRA Benin,he had a Suite there and we were with other friends.we all talked, laughed, gisted and all until about 10pm when everyone started leaving gradually,i wanted to call my cab to take me to my own hotel but moses kept on insisting on dropping me and I was like even better would save me paying for cab,so I had to wait for everybody to leave before he could drop me because he said he couldn't leave his guests to drop me,so when everyone finally left,i was about to stand up but he was adamant on me still waiting but i finally insisted i needed to go because i was leaving for Lagos early the next morning and couldn't wait anymore,i had to work the next morning.

When i got up to go,he pulled me and slapped me and asked me to sit,i thought it was a joke at first cos I just couldn't believe it,i brought out my phone to try and call for a taxi,by then i was in shock and angry but he forcefully seized my phone saying i wasn't going anywhere .
he overpowered me and he tied me up in his hotel, stuffed my mouth so I couldn't scream, and he raped me several times …again and again and again.

He said his baba said I was the perfect candidate for his rituals and for his upcoming election to take place properly next year so he would win.i was in shock and in denial,i couldn't even believe it,i have heard stories never thought i would experience it first hand in this cruel way from someone i knew.

Every day for two hours i was raped over and over again by this man ,i was still bound and gagged.he beat me up and did all kinds of things to me,i was helpless and cried bitter tears to no avail
because no one could hear me.

On Tuesday evening he came back and rubbed something on his manhood and said that was what his baba gave him to use to have sex with me,that i would loose my womb and good fortune …I begged and cried but he refused .

At midnight when he tried to use what the baba gave him,his manhood refused to come up,he tried over and over again but his manhood didn't function,it just didn't get up again and he hit me in anger many times over but still nothing happened. He then hurriedly left in annoyance to meet with his baba and in his rush he forgot to lock the door to the suite ,he didn't use the keys but i didn't know this,i was still gagged and bound waiting for him to come back in fear and by 9am on the 16th October morning he wasn't back and the housekeeping came and kept knocking and when no one answered, they went downstairs to get the spare key to open the door but found out the door wasn't even locked.normally since the time he kept me there he was always there when the housekeeping came and told them he didn't want to be disturbed.

They came in and found me bound and gagged and helped me out.the names moses used in filling out the forms were fake names and i am presently in Benin city on admission in hospital.I also suffered injuries untold. MOSES IDAHOSA is still at large but the police are on a man hunt for him.his wife and children are in Police custody as you read this.

My names are Ethel Joan Nwadike and i am not ashamed to come out and say i was raped. Please i am using this medium to reach out to the public, anyone that knows anything or sees him should please contact me or the nearest police station at once,he is a dangerous man and his next victim might not be as lucky as i was.
I am sure after raping me he would have probably killed me and dumped my body somewhere and no one would have known how i died….a FRIEND I TRUSTED!

He calls himself Honourable Moses Idahosa and works with the internal revenue service in Benin city, he is still at large and with your help the police can find him..

I thank God for my life and ask you to join me in thanksgiving..This is someone i knew and trusted.it could happen to anyone out there.ladies please be careful who you trust.

Please help me find this man, help me spread this story and pictures as far as you can,you might be his next victim!
Thank you.''
N.B: This lady needs help, if you know this guy called ''Honourable Moses Idahosa '' kindly report him to nearest police station to enable Joan get justice.

The truth about Govt's position on ASUU strike - Finance Ministry

This is a press statement from the Federal Ministry of Finance about the ongoing ASUU strike. It's been four long months (Quite shameful I must add) with no apparent resolution to the conflict in sight...and some people are blaming the Minister of finance Dr Okonjo Iweala for what's going on.

Some people in ASUU have been distributing flyers with abusive messages against Dr Okonjo-Iweala and now the ministry is issuing a statement about it, saying the minister is not the problem. I'd rather read about when ASUU is calling off this strike to be honest. Find the press statement below
Contrary to some recent media reports, the Federal government has not adopted a take-it-or-leave-it approach in its negotiations with ASUU. Rather, the approach is focused on positive engagement and achieving sustainable solutions to the challenges facing higher education in the country. That is why President Goodluck Jonathan recently appealed to ASUU to respond to government's positive steps by calling off its strike in the interest of suffering students and parents.
Despite this, for several days now, some elements in ASUU have been distributing pamphlets and flyers with abusive and inflammatory messages against the Coordinating Minister for the Economy and Minister of Finance, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala in mosques and other places. This is taking academic unionism to a new low and infusing it with unnecessary politics. I am sure majority of ASUU members are not in support of this.

These messages are directed at using falsehood to demonize the Minister as callous and unsympathetic to the plight of students and parents. The major lie being peddled in the pamphlets and flyers is that Dr Okonjo-Iweala has insisted on a "take-it-or-leave-it approach" in the negotiations with ASUU. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Dr Okonjo-Iweala is the daughter of two retired professors and her father is presently a member of ASUU's Board of Trustees and has been one for a long time. She speaks with her father everyday on the issue so how can be insensitive to issues concerning the sad state of tertiary education in the country? She understands and sympathizes with the plight of both students and lecturers. She wants our children back in school as soon as possible. Remember she is a mother and two of her young relatives are sitting at home due to the strike.

This is why government is working hard, under the leadership of the President, to seek practical and sustainable solutions to the challenges facing higher education in Nigeria. The President has made available N100 billion a year in the first instance to repair hostels, laboratories and classrooms and other facilities. An offer has also been made to ASUU of N30 billion towards their earned allowances. In fact, negotiations have even gone further than this. This is the first time, in years of negotiating with government, that significant sums of money have been put on the table for ASUU and universities on this particular set of issues. The Coordinating Minister is fully part of this.

Against this background, ASUU elements who want the strike to continue should have a heart and rethink their current take-it-or-leave-it approach to negotiation. Government has demonstrated its commitment to improving the university system. And it is even ready to do much more going forward. ASUU should listen to the voice of reason and the yearnings of Nigerians on this issue.

BRUTAL KILLINGS in IKPOBA-OKHA LOCAL govt AREA OF EDO STATE

7 people who people claimed to be part of a gay gang were killed by notorious cult members on the night of Friday which happens to be 25th of July 2006 here in Benin City, Edo state.
The incident took place in a deep forest close to a government secondary school 'Aduwawa Secondary School' in Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area of the state (Ikpoba Hill). According to reports, the victims among them were Mr Osakpolor who was a carver, Sunday Emasuen a student of Aduwawa Secondary School, Mr Omoruyi who was a driver in a cement factory and four others.
The crime which was witnessed by Mr Idehen Osagie a hunter in the community described the killings as outrageous but could not come out from his hideout until the killers had left for fear of being killed. Mr Idehen osagie who also said that he went to the forest to hunt for animals later saw some persons hunting their fellow beings 'so shocking' he concluded. There was someone called John who was also affected by the terrible news as his uncle Mr Osakpolor was one of the persons that was brutally murdered by the cult members. He has ran away ever since the incident because his life was also in threat by the same gang who killed his uncle and as not returned home ever since, only God can tell his where about at the moment just pray to God to locate him with an helper any where he is right now. The brutal killings by the same gang had not been made to rest up till this moment as they continue to torment people in the community; several interventions by the police has proven abortive as the gang tend to be more powerful and stronger than them. Just pray that john who ran away never return because they are still in a search for him. At as 2nd of december 2012, they were at it again when they murdered one mr Nosa osazuwa who happened to be schooling in one of the universities in ghana along side 3 other persons in which 2 of them murphy and igiebor happens to be his brothers and the last one Aisosa was his close friend. Report said that mr nosa osazuwa who was murdered in broad day light with close to 8 bullets had came home wanting to spend the holiday with his family. The height of it was when the gay gang opened fire at a police station on 21st of december that same year and killed 3 police men and the station building was close to collapsing. This has been the case on Ikpoba Okha community till date, waiting for God intervention.

German Envoy Pledges More Scholarships For Nigerians

Mr Michael Derus, the German Consul-General in Lagos, on Monday, pledged his government's willingness to make more Nigerians benefit from its global scholarships.

Derus told News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that "the essence" was to strengthen both countries educational cooperation, as well as make education affordable to "many more young Nigerians".

The envoy said that the German government, through its academic exchange service, was ready to support Nigerians in their undergraduate and post-graduate education.

"Nigeria no doubt is our very good partner in educational cooperation.

"And we also know the great importance Nigerian parents attaches to the education of their children.

"This is one reason we will definitely sustain our award of scholarships to Nigerians in the years ahead.

"The German's funds for supporting other countries still exist. We have more scholarships for Nigerians willing to study in Germany.''

Derus said that the country's Ambassador to Nigeria, Mrs Dorothee Janetzke-Wenzel, was particularly interested promoting education of young Nigerians.

He said that education cooperation was one of the four areas of his government's present partnership with the Nigerian government.
"Even in the global level, Nigeria is a good partner for educational cooperation.
"We, therefore, need to support and promote the educational development of young Nigerians.''
